1. Who We Are

MyTracker is a personal finance tracking application developed to help individuals track their expenses, income, cards, budgets and savings goals. Our web application is available at https://mytracker-b83f6.web.app and our Android app is available on Google Play.

2. Information We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we collect:

• Your Google account name
• Your Google email address
• Your Google profile photo (displayed in the app)

All financial data you enter (transactions, cards, budgets, goals) is stored locally on your device using secure local storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

3. Google Drive Backup

If you choose to enable the backup feature, MyTracker will:

• Create a folder called "MyTracker" in your personal Google Drive
• Save encrypted backup files of your financial data to that folder
• Only access files that MyTracker itself created — we cannot read any other files in your Drive

This backup is entirely optional. You can disable it at any time in Settings → Backup & Sync.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your Google account information only to:

• Identify your account and personalise the app experience
• Display your name and photo inside the app
• Associate your backup files with your Google Drive account

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling or any commercial purpose.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with any third party. Your financial data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable Google Drive backup.

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Sign-In — for authentication only
• Firebase — for app hosting and authentication infrastructure
• Google Drive API — only if you enable backup

6. Data Security

We take data security seriously:

• All data is stored locally on your device
• Google Drive backups use your personal Google account's security
• We use HTTPS for all communications
• We do not maintain any external database of your financial records

7. Your Rights

You have full control over your data at all times:

• Access: All your data is visible in the app
• Delete: Go to Settings → Clear All Data to delete everything
• Export: Go to Settings → Export Data to download your data as CSV
• Backup deletion: Delete backup files directly from your Google Drive
• Account deletion: Go to Settings → Delete Account, or use our Data Deletion Request page

8. Children's Privacy

MyTracker is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
